Titel Jonathan Israel's derde deel bekend: Democratic Enlightenment

Er is inmiddels meer bekend over het derde deel van Jonathan Israels Verlichtings-trilogie. Een bezoeker van dit weblog, Philip Post, gaf mij deze informatie door (waarvoor mijn dank). Het was mij nog niet bekend, terwijl ik nog maar kort geleden weer eens bij de uitgever, OUP, was gaan kijken.

De cover is nog niet ontworpen, maar de titel en het plan van uitgave wel:

Democratic Enlightenment. Philosophy, Revolution, and Human Rights 1750-90.

Israel gaat dus niet door tot 1820, zoals onlangs ergens werd gemeld (zie hier).

Het wordt weer een dikke pil: 1,152 pages | 16 page plate section | 234x156mm
